- Program manager and member of technical staff at AETC, Inc. Program manager for Navy sonar development subcontracts. Developed and specified algorithms for environmentally adaptive sonar control, broadband classification, non-Gaussian processing, beamforming, and array shape compensation for towed array sonar systems. Conducted applied research in physical oceanography.

- Earth and Physical Science, Fall 2007. A five week intensive course for ASPIRE, Simpson University's degree completion program.
- Introduction to Physics, Spring 2001 - present. A one semester, foundational studies course taught every semester.
- Introduction to Physics Laboratory, Spring 2001 - present. A two hour per week laboratory for Introduction to Physics.
- Introduction to Astronomy, Fall 2002 - present. A one semester, upper division foundational studies elective taught every fall.
- Modern Science and Society, Spring 2005 - Spring 2007. A one semester, upper division foundational studies elective taught every spring. A broad survey of contemporary science with emphasis on the impact science has on our culture and thought.
- Introduction to Computer Programming, Fall 2003 - present. A one semester programming course taught every fall for Mathematics and Management and Information Science majors.
- Differential Equations, Spring 2001 - present. A one semester course in ordinary differential equations taught in alternating years.

- 2003: wife and I led a short-term mission team from our church to Paraguay.
- 2000: My wife and I led a short-term mission team from our church to Thailand.
- 1987 - 2000: Youth leader at Mira Mesa Grace Chapel of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in San Diego, CA. Filled in for youth pastor when job was vacant. Went on and led five youth mission trips to Mexico.
- 1989 - 1998: Served on the Governing Board of Mira Mesa Grace Chapel. Served as elder and in various other ministries of the church.
Other Hobbies and Activities:
- Members of the Redding Folk Dancers, September, 2001 - present. A club for the celebration of international folk dances, mostly of the Balkans and Mideast.
- Recreational lake kayaking.
